I too have tried many different brands over the years. This shaver is the best I've ever used. Not quite as close as a blade but close enough. It actually shaves my neck smooth which is something that I've only been able to do with blades. The best part is the complete lack of irritation. I have a very sensitive neck and I have yet to need any lotion to sooth irritation. I shave in the shower so the fancy cleaning system is pretty much a waste of space but I do love the Lithium-Ion battery technology. The only shortcoming is the lack of a lanyard. I've dropped more than one slippery shaver in the shower over the years. They generally don't tolerate too many drops to the tub floor before they fail!
