I got this device after using my dad's ES8077S (which is also a great shaver mind you). I get a closer shave using this guy than a blade, let me qualify that... I am susceptible to getting ingrown hairs when I shave against the grain, so I don't. Shaving with the grain is a quick, easy and painless process however you don't get anything resembling a close shave! My solution? I use the ES8109S in the shower with a little bit of soapy lather and I get a comfortable, quick and dead close shave (especially when compared to using a blade). The LCD display is overkill in my opinion but I guess they have to justify $130 somehow. Remember, you have to shave everyday when using an electric to see optimal results.
I have to agree with a previous reviewer however regarding noise. The shaver itself is not very loud in my opinion however the cleaning process is a noisy one. I'd give this product 4.5 stars but have not been given that option so I am rounding down.
