I have used a razor blade type shaver (two & four blade) for over forty years and thought I was getting a good shave. The fact is that this electric shaver beats the razors hands down and it does it without burning my face. The automatic cleaning cycle is very nice as well. I let it clean the shaver every third day. I use an inexpensive electric pre-shave and that works just fine.
