This is the second Panasonic shaver I have owned. This one is far superior to the previous one. The shave is extremely close. I really like the cleaning system that comes with this shaver. I just rinse it off when I am done, put it in the charger/cleaner and it is ready to go when I need my next shave. A couple of notes. If you have not used an electric shaver before or in awhile it will take your face awhile to get use to it. I have also found that this shaver shaves so close I wash my face AFTER shaving to make sure I don't get any ingrown hairs. Might sound silly but this shave is that close. I also reccomend that you don't use shave cream with this shaver. I use Williams Lectric shave before shaving. I found it difficult to get the shaver really clean when using a shave cream. One great feature is that you dont have to use the cleaner if you don't want to or can't. An example would be if you are on vacation.
