I bought this to replace an well-used and aging ES8162 I bought 2 years ago. With the rising cost of blades/foils it didn't make much sense to keep buying parts for that one compared to a new one, so I upgraded to the ES8109 and will craigslist the ES8162 (hopefully).
The 8019 is awesome - closer shave, longer lasting battery (almost 2.5 weeks!) and it's more quiet than I expected. Only nit is that the foil pops out of the top too easily, this happened a few times before I caught on what I was pushing (those 2 balck tabs). I guess that makes it easier to clean the foil?
Anyway, I dont really care about/use the Hydraclean system, like I need one more thing to clutter my bathroom. I just rinse it after every shave and soap the foil/blades once a week. I wish Panasonic hadn't jumped on the bandwagon to include these cleaning stations for their high-end razors, just reduce the price and leave that crap out!
