For years I shaved with a Mach 3, then for two years I used a Remington rotary electric before trying this Panasonic. I have now used the Panasonic every day for a couple of months now and am still thrilled with the purchase. It shaves way closer than the Remington and more comfortably (and less messily) than my Mach 3. The cleaning system works very well; only caveat there is that the full cycle takes about two hours to run. This has never been a problem for me but did somewhat surprise me.
